Since its inception, BUCOFISC\u2019s ranking of the Top 100 Companies in Haiti initially aimed to rely on more objective criteria such as revenue, profit, and capital. However, due to the lack of voluntary participation from companies, we had to rely on tax and customs data provided by the General Administration of Customs (AGD) and the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) to compile this ranking. This information reflects the direct contributions of companies to public revenues.<\/p>

Through this initial effort, we hoped that business leaders would understand the importance of transparency and the dissemination of financial information. Nonetheless, the practice of a ranking based on tax revenues has become the norm, despite its limitation in not considering more comprehensive criteria like revenue and capital.<\/p>

This approach aims to encourage better governance and promote financial transparency within the private sector. A prime example is the banking sector, where we were able to rank companies according to more objective criteria. We hope that this model will expand to other sectors in the coming years.<\/p>

BUCOFISC will continue to monitor and evaluate these rankings while striving to incorporate more comprehensive criteria whenever possible to enhance transparency and competitiveness among companies in Haiti.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
